I'm not attacking, you know I love ya *s*
I'm just saying, personality isn't found in a number. I haven't gone out looking to hook up with someone older than me, but that's who I've tended to find because that's who I seem to have stuff in common with.
I've got goals... "I know what I wanna be when I grow up" *lol* j/k... but I've had goals, and I got myself out of a bad situation, and accomplished a lot of them already. I'm far from done, but I think I'm doin' alright.
You live and you learn, and I'm still learning alot... but then again, you never really stop. It's the person you are with, not how old they are.
Age isn't an issue unless you make it one.

heidi thought i was 30 when she first chatted with me.
And heidi you are in a way judging people who have an age difference in their relationships. You act as if disagreeing is attacking you.
When you brought this thread up knowing the people who read this date younger/older people..
Did i mention I'm tired, hey i erased the one you responded to before I read yours.
BTW i was joking about the 16 thing...I never put a limit on age. And believe it or not in r/t people tell me I act a lot older than I am.
OOOh and maybe 30 in canada is like middle age where your party days are over etc...but it shouldn't have to be that way. And it's not that way for everyone. You don't have any additional growing up to do?
oh and Im not trying to fight just stating a point.
k i gotta sleep....fuck dayshift..and day people.

when i am 44 my sister will be 20 cant wait to meet her mates...*L*
haha personally i dont care about there age difference if they can get on with each other communicate love each other share all and all is cool and they are happy then awesome.
life doesnt end when you are old either i came here when i was 18 i was going out with dudes who were 32 and getting more pissed and drugged than before.
One of my best mates here is 33 another 38 and one 23 i dont think its age what counts its your relationship with that personand whether you can forge a bond.

I think its funny that all of a sudden this thread is about certain people...It wasnt suppose to be about Hank..2cute...snails or anyone else..I simply asked why or what it is that turns you to younger men/women..all of a sudden its a judging contest and defending what you are doin...
being with someone younger is a preference..same as if you like blonde guys..brown eyes...ect...
Yeah 2 I have sown my wild oats...Yep I go out with the girls occassionally..but not nearly like I used to when I was a teen...My goal now is to make more money..Not the same when I was a teenager or younger...My goals are different now..they do that when you get older...
I dont have kids either...but still my interests and goals have changed over the years..
anyway...we can just delete this post if its goin to be about defending a situation..I asked what it was that makes you want to be with someone younger...Not justify why you are...
ANYWAY..Snails..bite me..
...I dont remember thinking you were 30..obviously that had to be within the first 10 min of talkin to you?..*EFG*...

Age never becomes an issue until it hits too close to home. I'm 21, I've seen the world, I've met quite a few of my goals, but does that make me more mature than a 21 year old who's had a steady full time job at a box factory for the past 2 years and hasn't left the city/town he/she has lived in? No. But is a 45 year old who has children, a full time career, bills out the ass, and has met nearly all of his/her goals more mature than I am? No.
Now would me dating a 45 year old woman, doesn't matter what she's done in life, be wrong, oh yes. Doesn't matter what we have in common. Society views age as experience. Soceity tends to look at a relationship that has more than a 10 year age gap as cradle robbing. But this only occurs when the male/female is under the age of 30. I don't know what makes 30 so signifigant but that's how it works.
Now if at my age I were to be sleeping with a 45 year old but not getting involved in a relationship with her, the only thing society would find wrong with it would be that I'm sleeping with her and not getting involved in a relationship with her.
The point to all of this: Society is confusing, but dating a minor when you damn well know you're adult is wrong.

I was 33, he was 24. Lasted a few months off and on. He was/is an intelligent, funny, passionate, sexy guy. We worked together in nearby departments & had many similar interests & a very similar, intensely warped sense of humour (big turn-on for me *G), but emotionally, we were on different planes, with different goals & outlooks on life and the world around us.
We dazzled each other, however, in our own quirky ways. We both knew it was pure lust & curiosity not to mention exciting & we became involved as such. I wouldn't trade the experience (or the fucking awesome sex!) for anything.
Would I do it again?? Who knows ..*w

It's getting harder to judge peoples ages on a Friday night. You are having a laugh, chatting and stuff.......then it's..."oh...when I finish college I want to be a....blah"
I couldn't date a younger woman.....it just seems weird.....cultural references are fun to share...."when you were 8 I was dropping E at acid house parties" it just doesn't work for me I'm afraid.

Hmmmm...Heidi I never thought this thread was about anyone in particular that either chats in the pool or posts on the board...I do however find this interesting.
I may be a mere 20, but I've always known what I've wanted to do in life. Yes at times it has changed, but in the long run the purpose remains the same. And at this young age I've managed to accomplish some of them, which is amazing because so many people where I'm from dream big dreams but never do anything about it.
Age is not about a number per se, it's about the life experience of the individual. In a lot of ways I'm just your typical 20 year old and that's okay with me, I want to enjoy my youth while I have it, but there are times when I feel like I'm in my late 30's because of shit that I've gone through. It's about learning from your choices, good and bad.
I keep my mouth shut a lot in here and in the pool, but in r/t I have a very strong personality. I'm a person that is very goal oriented. I know what I want from life and I know what I need to do to get those things. And in my experience I've found that this is not attractive to guys my age...in fact they find it intimidating. But older guys find it the exact opposite...they are attracted to the fact I have my head on my shoulders.
I grew up in a town where dating older men was the norm...I used to think it was cool myself, but then I opened my eyes and saw just how icky it was. In the case of the 38 year old man and 18 year old year my stomach turns. I am not saying that I couldn't have anything in common with someone of his age, but personally it's just too old for me...26 is my limit and I'm sticking to it*L

hmm... let's see... where to begin... well let's start with how screwed up i am
... my first experience with "men" was a nightmare. one i still have from time to time. less than a year after that experience i hooked up with my first "boyfriend". i was 14. he was 23. and he beat the crap outta me for 3 years for reasons i won't go into. he also succeeded in completely turning me off of older men. if i were single and a guy more than 2 years older than me was interested i wouldn't give him the time of day. that's just how it is for me. as for guys a lot younger than me (i'm 31 now) if i were single i'd let loose and enjoy as many of them as i could. but strictly in a physical way. my preference is a man my own age. which i have. we have "grown up" together and i wouldn't have it any other way. so there you have it... my preference AND my reasons... did i do good?? *LOL*
